Abstract
The present study titled “Spirituality of Non-Indian Natives in Auroville” was undertaken to qualitatively assess the spirituality, beliefs and values of the participants practicing spirituality in Auroville. The study adopts an Interpretative phenomenological approach. A purposive sample of 16 Aurovillians were selected for the study. A semi structured interview schedule was used for data collection. Interpretative phenomenological analysis was used for data analysis. The results from the analysis indicate predominantly a spiritual quest leads Non-Indian Natives to come to Auroville. They experience many changes with a greater level of acceptance being a hallmark among all the participants of the study. Their beliefs, values and perspectives on different aspects of spirituality were phenomenologically analysed and a conceptualization of their overall spirituality was done.
