Abstract
Earthworms play a major part in the soil ecosystem and are therefore of particular interest to agriculturists and ecologists. Their presence and function can reveal a lot about the health of the soil and the knowledge of working with them can benefit acceleration of decomposition processes and returning a rich biology to the soils. Though a lot has been written about earthworms, we are still in the infancy of understanding their behaviour and the vast interconnected web of life of which they are a small but significant part.
