Abstract

This study was commissioned in April 2012. Part 1-3 completed in April 2014. In the meeting November 10th 2014 Part 4 was presented to the review board (L’Avenier, Water Cell and others). The summary of Part 4 was released so that the preparatory work for implementation could be started. In January 2016 the proposals were finalized and published in the Auroville News and Notes. Following the feed back received, a study group was set up to see how concerns of the residents could be met. From February onwards the group met on several occasions. Since then various changes occurred, in particular to the planned capacity of the plant and the location. These effect the design and layout of the sewage network and treatment plant. Part 4 is now presented in a revised version where these changes have been incorporated.
